Ramon DE VARGAS
He began his artistic training with the violin and piano, but soon found in painting his main means of expression. He has devoted much of his life to this discipline, winning both national and international awards, such as the Sésamo Grand Prix, the French Medal of Arts, Sciences and Letters and the Golden Seagull. His work has been acquired by prestigious museums such as the Vatican Museum, the National Museum of Rio de Janeiro and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid.
A multifaceted artist, he has also explored other disciplines such as photography, film, experimental video, sculpture, musical composition and writing, and has won outstanding awards in all of them. His career, marked by constant experimentation and a strong expressive impulse, is characterised by an authentic artistic identity, independent and far removed from passing fashions. His works, charged with emotional intensity, seek to liberate his thoughts and never leave the viewer indifferent.

If you own a work that you think could be of interest to the De Vargas -whether by inheritance, acquisition at an exhibition or by other means- we put at your disposal our official verification and certification service.
Our team will analyse the piece and, if its authenticity is confirmed, it will be incorporated into the catalogue raisonné of the artistreceiving the corresponding official certificate.
To start the process, we just need you to send us all the information you have:
- Place and date of acquisition.
- Images of the work (front, details, back, signature...)
- Any additional documents accompanying the work.
